Neil Hoffman

Neil Hoffman brings 39 years of experience in banking and finance, along with a strong commitment to service and stewardship, to the Grow Rural PA team.

Mr. Hoffman began his career in 1985 at First National Bank, and then PNC Bank in Erie. In 1990, he relocated to Ridgway, PA and became PNC’s Market Manager for Elk County. He joined Northwest Bank in 1996, serving as Divisional Senior Vice President and Commercial Banking Team Leader. In 2011, he was promoted to Corporate Senior Vice President and Commercial Landing Manager at Northwest Saving Bank and became a member of the Bank’s senior management team. In 2020, he joined Cattaraugus County Bank (CCB) in Little Valley, NY as their Chief Credit Officer until he retired in March 2024. He continues to serve CCB as a member of their Board of Directors, to which he was appointed in July 2024.

Mr. Hoffman has been deeply committed to environmental stewardship and community economic development throughout his career. He has served as a board member and/or chairman of Elk Regional Health Center, the Ridgway Industrial Development Council, ELCAM, North Central Enterprises, NCPRPDC Loan Review Committee, the Ridgway-Elk County Chamber of Commerce, and a host of other vital community organizations.

He and his wife Nancy live in Ridgway, where they raised three children and now, in retirement, they can most likely be found kayaking on the Clarion River, fishing at East Branch Dam, or hiking and biking on the region’s growing network of trails.

Mr. Hoffman is a 1984 graduate of Edinboro University, where he earned a BS in Business Administration and a BA in History. He is also a 1993 graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
